About this Event

‘…one of the most exciting talents to have emerged from Ireland in the past decade.’ – Folking.com
Across three albums, Clare-based musician Laura Mulcahy has amazed all with her genre-defying melodic output. Laura explores everything that life brings – from collective traumas to the stupidity and hilarity of life itself, including matters of the heart. On the 12th of July please join us for an intimate performance from Laura and her band in the Community Hub at the Sexual Violence Centre on Camden Quay.

‘Mesmerising’ – Fatea Magazine
‘The refined, personal nature of Mulcahy’s songs have earned her a growing fanbase,’ – Hot Press Magazine

Side by side with her music, Laura is also a long-term activist and campaigner and has continually used her music and art to raise awareness of the many issues and injustices that affect the marginalised; minorities; those with less agency in our society. Laura is honoured to be taking to the stage in such an important space - a space that has been responsible for helping so many people over the years.

‘A wonderful artist, musician and writer from County Clare… remarkable musician and lyricist.’ Fiachna Ó Braonáin, RTÉ Radio One
‘Ireland’s most iconoclastic contemporary singer’ – Bernard Clarke, RTÉ Lyric FM

Book a free ticket with donations accepted on the night. Supported by Safe Gigs Ireland. Doors at half seven, with the performance beginning at 8 p.m.
