This month's laundry event will take place on Tuesday, April 13 with extended hours from 3:00 to 9:00 pm to allow for increased social distancing. As a reminder, we will not be providing resources for “to go” loads - supplies will be available to guests attending the event at Suds Y’r Duds with their laundry ready to go!MASKS ARE REQUIRED INSIDE THE LAUNDROMAT.
We will have one or two volunteers stationed outside the laundromat throughout the duration of the event to check participants in. Once participants have loaded their washers, volunteers will start each machine and leave the laundry owner with 1 dryer sheet and $1 in change for their dryer cycle. Participants are able to do up to 5 loads of laundry per person. Volunteers will not assist in loading, transferring or unloading machines.
As we continue to take social distancing precautions seriously, a limited supply of masks, gloves and sanitization wipes will be made available to all participants. Hand sanitizer will also be provided inside and outside of the facility. Lastly, we have extended our event hours in hopes that people will come at their most convenient time instead of our previous three hour window.
Participants are encouraged to limit their contact with others and the machines inside the laundromat as well as use the provided hand sanitizer often. Participants are also urged to wash their hands immediately after returning home and avoid touching their face.
