Dion Ndlovu is a Zimbabwean based artist, born on September 2003, who has been making art for most of his life and started professionally in the year 2023. He makes paintings, graphics and sometimes takes photographs.
He draws inspiration from his life experiences. He finds that making art from these real places/emotions makes his work more relatable and gives the viewer something to latch onto. As someone who’s gone through tough times, he finds art therapeutic.
He is currently studying at Polytechnic College and aims to broaden his education and improve his opportunities outside the country.
"I believe my paintings fall under expressionism because by that definition my paintings are a product of emotion. From the paint strokes to the colors and even the abstract shapes, they all link back to a feeling or memory. Expressionism would be the best way to describe my art style".
