About this Event
Our culture is created by the stories we tell and listen to. For the last 18 months, the Blue Mountains Planetary Health Initiative has been piloting storytelling in every neighbourhood, from the Lower Mountains to Lithgow, to share solutions for strengthening community, reducing the risk of disaster and restoring the health of our planet. At 2pm we'll be running a workshop with Sophie Cousins, 'Our Community, Our Stories: Writing for Change'. This will be followed at 7pm by the launch of a Planetary Health Writers' Network to support and build a network of writers who can help create and share the stories we urgently need to hear. Join us for a social evening to brainstorm and meet other writers in our bioregion!
This event is part of a Bioregional Collaboration for Planetary Health. It is supported by the Disaster Risk Reduction Fund (DRRF). The DRRF is jointly funded by the Australian and New South Wales governments.
