About this Event
The ACAA was set up as a grassroots charity in 2000 to support the integration of refugees and asylum seekers from Afghanistan and its neighbouring regions. Since its inception, the ACAA has been operating in London. Its recent expansion to Birmingham was prompted by the fact that Birmingham has the highest population of Afghans in the UK, yet there is no organisation dedicated to serve as a grassroots and frontline charity in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. We would like to thank the Birmingham Council who have pledged their support for our expansion, as well as local NGOs and charities.
This event will provide a friendly and informal space to mark the beginning of our work in the area whilst also creating an opportunity for the local community to be introduced to the organisation and the services we provide. We believe that many of your constituents would benefit from our services to support their integration and resettlement. Therefore, we are inviting you to attend our launch to find out more about our services.
