epilepsy
hernia
severe backache
advanced bleeding (piles)
incontinence
persistent cough
major psychiatric disorders
anything with acute symptoms.
Laughter Yoga is a natural complementary form of healing which can be powerful. There is some physical strain involved and a rise in intra-abdominal pressure. Laughter Yoga is not a substitute for proper medical consultation for physical, mental, and psychological illnesses and may not be suitable for everyone. It is a fun and healthy exercise regime with beneficial effects for the body, mind, and emotions and like any form of aerobic exercise, it should not be practiced by people with medical issues without first taking advice from their medical practitioner.
The list above is for guidance only and is not meant to be exhaustive. If in doubt, please consult your trained medical professional for guidance. Anyone already undergoing physician-prescribed therapy should seek expert medical guidance and if any improvements are experienced through laughter, you should seek the advice of your doctor before reducing the dosage of your medication or stopping treatment.
By taking part in a Laughter Yoga session, you accept full responsibility for your physical fitness and state that you can participate safely in the activities involved and we strongly encourage you NOT to participate or stop participating in any activities you feel uncomfortable with.
Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you! 🤗
