Latte Art Throwdown - BRC 2023

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of adrenaline-pumping competition and camaraderie at the Barista Redefined Challenge 2023! ?

Join us on June 1st, from 6-9 pm at Guerilla Coffee, Suntec City, Singapore, as we gather the most talented baristas from SG to showcase their exceptional latte art skills, represent their cafes, and win amazing prizes! ?

In this unique competition, competitors will face two major twists: competitors will represent their cafes AND they'll use our revolutionary Latte Art Factory to steam and froth their milk, while still free pouring their latte art .

Competitors will pour their hearts out from shots pulled by a pair of dueling custom Slayer Steam LP espresso machines.

This is an incredible opportunity for baristas to prove their skills, face their fears, and earn admiration from their peers. ?

The stakes are high, with the top prize being an $8,000 Latte Art Factory for the winning cafe! ? Second, third and fourth place prizes will also be awarded.

With limited slots available, register early to secure your spot and avoid disappointment.

Cafes can field up to two baristas for a fee of $80 per person. Competitors will each get a goodie bag filled with, well, goodies.

Competition Rules & Regulations:

• Competitors must represent the café that they are employed at as of 1/6/23
• Competitors must declare in their registration the café name that they are representing
• Prizes are awarded to the café represented by the competitor
• The competition will be a "Knock-out" format: Winners advance based on judges' selection (no bribes allowed)
• Bring your own milk pitcher, or dare to use ours
• The Latte Art Factory must be used to steam and froth milk for latte art
• Only free pour latte art will be allowed for all rounds
• The number of rounds will be subject to the total number of participants
• All cups used for the Throwdown will be provided by organiser
• Competitors must use coffee and milk provided by the organiser
• The judges' decisions are final; no appeals entertained

ALL PRIZES ARE AWARDED TO THE WINNING CAFE

The 1st prize winner will receive the grand prize of 1 unit of Latte Art Factory Essential 4

• Delivery and installation lead times apply.
• Delivery will be provided to 1 location only in Singapore.
• Limited warranty applies from the date of delivery.
• Installation of the LAF is to be installed at the winning cafe's location only.
• The winning café agrees to a review on their experience with the LAF within three months from the date of installation. The information collected will be used for future CS marketing materials.

The 2nd prize winner will win 1X $3000 discount voucher from Gruppo Cimbali & Caffeine Solutions.

• This discount voucher can only used for the purchase of any La Cimbali or Slayer products from Caffeine Solutions
• Valid for 12 months
• The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash

The 3rd prize winner will win a Barista Skills Intermediate Course worth $858 courtesy of Bettr Barista.

• Valid 3 months from date of issue

BRC 2023 Additional Terms & Conditions (EVENT)

This Event is organised by Caffeine Solutions Pte Ltd (“CS”).

Once a participant has registered for the Event and his/her participation been confirmed by CS, refunds can be made only 7 days before the event.

In the event that the registered participant is unable to attend the Event for any reason, he/she is entitled to send a replacement.

The registered participant must transfer their ticket via the eventbrite portal.

CS may postpone, cancel, interrupt or terminate the Event at any time due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control without any liability to CS or its sponsors or partners. CS may also change the Event venue.

If the Event is postponed to a new date or cancelled, CS shall give notice to the participants as soon as reasonably practicable.

CS reserves the right to vary, add, withdraw or substitute advertised programmes, prizes or change Event times, venue or audience capacity without prior notice.

By registering for the Event, each participant agrees that;

any and all personal data submitted may be collected, used and/or disclosed to CS for various purposes, including to communicate with the participant for purposes related to the Event, to provide goods and services to the participant upon request, and such other purposes CS may reasonably deem appropriate, or in relation to which the participant has otherwise provided CS with consent;

CS may collect, use, disclose and share amongst themselves and their respective service providers, the participant’s personal data, including the photographs or audio-video or other recordings of these participants (“Material”) for publicity and/or use in advertisements across all media, including, without limitation, in CS’s publications, presentations, promotional materials on their websites, in its original or edited format, and whether to promote the Event or otherwise without further notification, remuneration or compensation; and the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in and to all Material shall vest solely and absolutely in CS without further compensation.

CS shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death in connection with registration for, attendance at, postponement or cancellation of the Event, except any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).

Entry to the Event venue will be subject to the venue’s prevailing terms and conditions of entry.

Organiser reserves the right without refund or compensation to refuse admission or evict any person(s) whose conduct is disorderly or inappropriate or who poses a threat to security, or to the enjoyment of the event by others.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, and participants agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
