Please note that due to Covid restrictions, attendees need to book for entry at 16:00, 17:00 or 18:00, and entries are limited to 30 people for an hour. There is a separate application for each time slot. Please ensure you choose the right one. Thank you - we look forward to seeing you.
An exhibition of original world dolls from numerous Latin America countries (Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Honduras, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, and others) will take place on 29th of October, 2021, at Instituto Cervantes, 326/330 Deansgate, Campfield Avenue Arcade, M3 4FN, Manchester. There will also be live music. The aims of the event are
• To foster an understanding of the cultures and economies of Latin American countries, in particular the differences between these nations;
• To promote a positive image of the current and future role of women in Latin American societies;
• To enhance Latin American musical tradition and emphasise its connections with Spanish culture;
• To raise awareness of the work of SOMOSCR, a Manchester based charity supporting Spanish speakers in the North West of England;
• To support the Instituto Cervantes in its programme of cultural activities.
In line with current Covid requirements, 30 people per hour will be allowed entry. We will revise this requirement should the guidance change.
