Join Activating Reading Communities Organization (ARCO) and the Latino Cultural Center for Latino Poetry: Places We Call Home – A Dallas Celebration, a two-day literary and cultural event honoring Latino voices through poetry, dance, and art.



Event Highlights:

📖 Poetry Showcase & Dance Performances – Experience powerful readings from award-winning poets alongside folkloric dance by Ollimpaxqui Ballet Company.
📝 Community Writing Workshops – Craft-focused workshops led by visiting poets, open to all skill levels. Register for workshops here
🎨 Panel Discussion – A thought-provoking conversation on art and the Latino diaspora, featuring poets and visual artists.
🎭 Featured Artists & Poets – Including ire’ne lara silva, Jasmine Mendez, Rodney Gomez, Laurie Ann Guerrero, Joe Jiménez, and renowned Latina artists Tina Medina, Eliana Miranda, and Karla Ramirez-Santin.

This celebration is part of Latino Poetry: Places We Call Home, a national initiative by Library of America with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities and Emerson Collective.

Through guided exercises and reflection, uncover the ways your body has moved through the world—holding childhood, love, loss, resilience, and dreams for the future.

No prior writing experience needed—just an open heart and a willingness to listen to the stories within.
