Highwire Improv presents a night of Latino comedy with a pair of teams dedicated to celebrating cultural pride though improv comedy in English and Spanish. Come and enjoy a night filled with food, fun and festivity.
We start at 6 p.m. with Baltimore Bodega, which formed in 2025. This crew of Latino improvisers mashing up improv styles and languages with hilarious results. Chime is a universal language, and Latino culture is infused in their games.
At 7 p.m., we welcome Los Complicados, which debuted in Harrisburg, Pa., in 2024 before touring multiple locations with their Spanglish flair. The team proves that improv — and laughter — belong to everyone, reminding everyone that makes us complicados is exactly what makes us shine.
A party and improv jam where audience members can perform with the casts closes out the night.
What is an improv show, exactly?
Improv is live theater created spontaneously by the performers with the inspiration of the audience. Unless noted otherwise, it’s a comedy show, made even more exciting, intriguing, and hilarious by the fact that none of it is pre-scripted! At an improv show you’ll see a wide range of creative and fascinating humans perform a highwire act by making comedy out of thin air! It can take many forms, including short competitive games, slice of life scenes, and full length sitcom or movie style performances!
A Highwire Improv show is truly a once in a lifetime performance, never done before and never to be done again!
About the Venue:
The Highwire Center is Highwire Improv's home base in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore! Part of Highlandtown Main Street and the Highlandtown Arts District, The Highwire Center is home to classes, free workshops, shows, community events, corporate training, and more! The Highwire Center is accessible, with ramp access available, an ADA restroom, and flat transit throughout the space.
