Kick off Latin Weekend with Live Salsa Night, an evening rooted in culture, rhythm, and connection.
Learn the fundamentals in a relaxed, one-hour salsa lesson with TK Rakoski of TK's Dance Club in Van Buren, AR. No experience or partner needed!
Then stay for a live performance by Orquesta Afinke and experience the energy of live Latin music and social dancing.
Lesson: 8pm-9pm.
Social Dance and Live Music: 9pm-12am.
DAY 2:
Join us for Somos Más, a community panel exploring the deep connections between Afro-Latino identity and the broader landscape of Latin music and culture.
Through conversation with community voices including Host Irvin Camacho, and Panelists Papa Rap, Papa Rap, and Fernando Valencia, we’ll dive into the shared histories, rhythms, and stories that shape our collective experience.
This is a space to listen, learn, and celebrate the richness and complexity of our cultures.
