Welcome to an Evening of Dance!
Join us for a fun night of Latin dancing and fun. Enjoy an intimate evening learning the basics of the most popular Latin dances: Salsa and Bachata.
Your instructors for the evening will be Gino and Ania from Bella & Bello Dance Canada.
With over a decade of experience in performing and teaching across North America and Europe, Ania and Gino will share their passion for dance and life during this unique evening. They bring their passion and joy to every class, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all.
Instructor Bios:
Gino Akbari
An actor, dancer, and performance coach, Gino's background is as diverse as his love for coffee shops. After graduating in theater from Dalhousie University, Gino explored various careers—from owning a coffee shop, coordinating military training for international troops, to running for city council and leading his dance team to the world championships. He has been teaching dance at the University of Alberta since 2011 and began teaching at international Salsa congresses, including in Las Vegas, Atlanta, and San Francisco, in 2014.
Ania Daniela
Ania began her dance journey as a little girl and has continued to explore her creative talents through various art forms, including painting, sculpture, dance, and fitness. With a Fine Arts degree and an MBA from the University of Alberta, Ania continuously redefines how life is meant to be explored. Her dance roots are in jazz and hip hop in Poland, where she trained alongside partners who are now judges on "So You Think You Can Dance - Poland." Ania currently teaches various Latin dance styles at the University of Alberta and at international Salsa congresses, including in Las Vegas, Atlanta, and San Francisco.
