Late summer dye bath: Reveling in natural color!

Join us for an afternoon spent dyeing in community with herbalist and natural dyer Maggie Ruth Haaland. August is the time of golden yellows and oranges. Goldenrod, marigold, coreopsis. When summer is heavy with fruits and beginning its shift to fall. Come learn the basics of natural dyeing and ecoprinting in this hands on workshop on the lawn outside the brighton shop. We will sink into the energy of late summer with a seasonal herbal tea and then get our hands into the dye pots! Maggie will also touch on the mordanting process and the use of natural dye as a ritual and self care practice. Hope you will join us for this afternoon spent creating and learning in community!

Logistics

Class will be held outside of Cambridge Naturals in Brighton, on the lawn. Come prepared with sun protection and hydration. Bring blankets or mats to sit on, we do have some, but we reccomend having your own that will keep you cool.

There is parking on the street, and we will also validate the parking for the parking lot behind our store. There are 2 parking lots, so make sure to go into the one that is right behind 92 Guest Street.
