About this Event
Late for the Train is a modern string band rooted in the rich traditions of Americana, bluegrass, folk and Celtic music. Influenced by artists such as Kate Wolf, The Wood Brother and Nickel Creek, the California-based group’s skillful craftsmanship meets tender harmonies and potent lyrics that grapple with wonder, contradiction and the truth of living in the modern age. They’ve wowed audiences at such festivals as Whale Rock, Kate Wolf Lost Sierra Hoedown and many more.
The core ensemble consists of songwriters and multi-instrumentalists David Pasoe (guitar), Laua Benson (fiddle), Thom Beneduci (upright bass) and Bud Dillard (mandolin). We’ve seen Bud here many times before with Electric Tumbleweed and others. Late for the Train is like a musical ray of sunshine, making them the perfect band to help us celebrate Summer Solstice!
“The voices of Benson and Pascoe blend like gypsy souls who’ve found a home in each other’s musical arms.” – Sean McAlindin, Pacific Sun Magazine
