Raising ourselves, drinking from the hose, we survived recessions, dialup internet, rotary phones and lawn darts. Movies went from theatres to VHS to DVD. Music went from Vinyl to Cassettes to CDs.
Gen X also saw the greatest evolution of music in history. Arena rock, disco, punk, metal, glam, hip-hop, rap, techno, pop and grunge. This was a period in time that saw cultural shifts every few months and the music was a reflection of that.
