Dear family members:
The 2022 Laster family reunion committee is very pleased to announce the details of our latest reunion. We have noticed that our family has changed in size and so this is our attempt to get everyone together, share our history, and create new memories. We are honored to plan and host our family reunion. We have worked hard to put together a weekend of activities and entertainment that we hope all will enjoy.
We have limited the activities to one each day so everyone can have some free time to spend with whomever they please. We have planned a picnic one day and a banquet on another where we can all get together and catch up.
Memphis, TN is a great location. It has many fun activities and offerings including museums, trolley rides, a minor league baseball team, the Memphis Grizzlies, and much more. So we hope to see you here.

*All venues listed require a minimum of 100 family members to participate in order to get these group rates.
*All activities require a deposit that could be lost, so please pay in a timely manner.
*If participation is low, you will be notified of changes or cancellations.
*All local taxes and service charges are included in the price.
DEPOSITS & REGISTRATION
You can conveniently register for the reunion by mail or online through Eventbrite! Reunion fees will be used to pay-off venue balances and other expenses. You also have the option to purchase a reunion t-shirt. All payments can be made via check, money order, or through Eventbrite. The reunion reservation deposit is due by August 31, 2021. Please keep in mind that venues are already taking 2022 bookings for their annual events and 2022 weddings, so we are competing for days. As soon as we have enough reservation payments to cover the deposits, we will complete the contract to reserve our dates.
No matter what method you use, you don't have to pay for everything at once. Feel free to make monthly installments toward the reunion. However, no matter which way you are paying, All balances must be paid in full by April 30, 2022. Or, we risk losing our deposits.
CANCELLATIONS
The venues provided us with a deadline to submit our final headcount, and we must stick to the deadline. We are competing with conferences, concert-goers, other family reunions, etc. So, we are sorry to say that we will not be able to offer refunds once we include you in the count unless the entire event is canceled. And then, the refund will be issued after and only after all incurred bills have been settled.
TRANSFERS
If you are unable to make it you will be allowed to transfer your payments to other family members. In order to transfer your payments, submit a letter stating as much in enough time to make the necessary changes. In the letter include the family member(s) name, their contact information, and the total amount of payments that you have made toward the reunion. Once verified, the new family member(s) may attend as long as the balance covers them. If the balance is less than the total amount of the registration fee + reunion fee, the new family member(s) must pay the difference before participating.
PICNIC INFORMATION
This picnic includes an all you can eat barbecue menu with three types of meat: BBQ pork, chicken breast & beef hot-dogs. Two air-conditioned dining rooms. Big screen TV, PA system, private facility for the family, two covered pavilions with fans and family reunion music. There are also moonwalks, playgrounds, basketball courts, four ping pong tables, and wagon rides for the kids. You can relax on a beautiful eight-acre lake used for fishing, visit the petting zoo, or have a fun family competition at Corn Hole courts. The picnic will also offer several competitive games: volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, high striker, ping pong and more. Because this is a private event, all family members attending the picnic will receive a wristband from the hosts prior to entering.
(Important) Per the Canale Farms's agreement, any attendees who have not paid in advance will not be allowed in the park without paying the $45 admission at the door. This fee is paid directly to Canale Farms.
FAMILY REUNION FEES
The fees have been broken down to account for an estimate of 100 minimum participants.
HOTEL INFORMATION
During the reunion weekend, we would like everything to be as convenient as possible. One of the ways that we can do this is by arranging to hold the banquet in the same hotel that hosts the family. Because we are still taking bids, hotel information will be presented as soon as the committee obtains a reasonable contract from a hotel, and has enough funds to leave a deposit on all venues.
