Pirate Seasons ends for us on Halloween Weekend. That makes this THE LAST PIRATE SINGING MEETUP OF THE YEAR! Come make this last meetup the best meetup. Come and reminisce or come for the first time. Dust off your shanties, drinking songs, and love songs. Bring yourselves, friends, family, and musical instruments, and join us for some maritime fun!
This meetup is a fun and interactive opportunity to experience live music on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Our pub sing/show is accessible to all ages. We teach pub songs and sea shanties to the multitudes while honing our performance for our 12th season.
We will have a songbook with online access via QR code. Join us outdoors on Nicklepoint's new patio, otherwise, we will invade indoors. Fear not, though we sport our pirate gear, you can come as you are!
The pirate sing is loosely run, but typically we have a board for requests, (to sing for the group, lead a song, or have us do something). We treat it as an open rehearsal so we may also work on our numbers for an upcoming festival or try some new songs on an audience. You are invited to listen, join in, offer a song, or just drink one or more of the $5-6 beverages fresh out of the brewing tanks.
We use both acapella and instrumental accompaniment styles to showcase our mix of madrigals, pub songs, love songs, sing-along pub songs, sailor songs, drinking songs, and even some children's songs, just to balance things out.
