Since January, the Voodoo Lounge has been the monthly sanctuary where comedians came to bare their souls, bomb gloriously, and occasionally even get a laugh. But like your favourite dive bar, beloved pet goldfish, and most Tinder matches, it’s all coming to an end. The Lounge is shutting down forever just 8 days later.This isn’t just another comedy open mic—it’s a wake. Expect standups delivering punchlines like eulogies, audiences laughing through the tears, and bartenders serving grief one drink at a time. It’ll be messy, it’ll be cathartic, and it’ll definitely be cheaper than therapy.
Come dressed in black… or just in poor taste. Either way, it’s the last laugh you’ll ever hear inside these walls.
Obituary:
Voodoo Lounge (20??–2024), beloved purveyor of sticky floors, suspicious lighting, and questionable life choices, passed away peacefully after a short battle with reality. Survived by broken stools, forgotten bar tabs, and the faint smell of regret. In lieu of flowers, please bring $5 and a dark sense of humour.
