Prom season is fast approaching and the time to get your dress is now! But before you head out to the mall or place your online order, consider shopping secondhand this year. Did you know that in the United States alone, about 11.3 tons of clothing and textile waste end up in the landfill every year? Ditch the fast fashion trends and opt for a more sustainable option instead: renting your prom dress! On Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm, Last Looks Costumes will be hosting a prom rental event at Azalea Antiques & Art in Wilmington, NC!
Last Looks Costumes is a women-owned small business comprised of three local film and tv costumers in Wilmington, with the goal of promoting sustainability in costumes and providing for the local community. In addition to vintage beauties from decades past, dresses from locally filmed productions, like The Summer I Turned Pretty and Zoey 102, will be available to rent! Come find your perfect dress, take it home that day and return it after your magical night at prom!
