DTF attracted diverse age groups, allowing for the sharing of stories, experiences, and wisdom across generations. It didn’t matter your sex, sexual orientation, skin color or religion, all were welcome. DTF provided a welcoming space for people to gather, socialize, and build community, creating a safe environment free of judgement.
Unfortunately, all good things eventually come to an end. The past three years have been incredible, and DTF exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We are deeply thankful to everyone who joined us every third Sunday at 215 West Nine Mile Rd in Ferndale. You came, you danced, you loved. A special thank you to Tom,Toly Ashkenazi, Claire Urban, and the entire staff at SOHO Ferndale/215W for embracing us from the start. We also want to say a special thank you to Derek Pratley for helping us get DTF off the ground and supplying the DTF sign and shirts. Thanks also go out to Sam Koeppe and Splendah for being our guest DJ's.
Please join us Sunday, November 17th for our 3 year anniversary and DTF Finale. Come as you are or dress to the nines but bring your dancing shoes. Be sure to stick around for the “Last Dance” when we turn off the sign for the final time (for now 😉). We hope this will not be “goodbye” but “see you later.”
