On Saturday July 13th, the Z Playhouse welcomes the very funny Ron Ruhman, and you’re not going to want to miss the fun.
Ron headlines clubs, colleges, corporate and church events, throughout the United States and Canada. He has opened for many talented performers including Leon Redbone, Judy Tenuta, Shawn Wayans, Jimmy Brogan, Don Friesen, and James P Connolly, done audience warm-up on several productions including Castle Rock Pictures “Forget Paris” starring Billy Crystal, and appeared on numerous television shows including “America’s Funniest People”, Comedytime TV, KTLA’s Find Me a Comic, and COZI TV. Ron also just finished recording his first DryBar Comedy special.
Ron has been called a “High Energy Seinfeld”. He brings a very energetic style to the stage as he shares his interesting slant on day-to-day life in an act that is clean, smart, and very entertaining.
Joining Ron on Saturday July 13th is a favorite at The Z, Jenna Perry! Jenna was the 2019 winner of the Funniest Housewives Competition. She has had the privilege of performing at the Brea Improv, the Irvine Improv, the Camino Real Playhouse and many other venues around Orange County. Her unique and hilarious perspective on everyday life keeps audiences laughing.
Also gracing our Lass Your Aff Off! stage in July for the first time will be funny man Kipp Hart! If Kipp looks familiar, it’s because he spent many years of his life as Jungle Cruise skipper at a little place called Disneyland, which many would argue it’s a tougher gig than any comedy room. Since then, Kipp performs regularly throughout the OC and LA, most recently at the World Famous Comedy Store.
Our big show on July 13th will be hosted by OC comedian Marianne Connors. While relatively “new” to the world of stand-up, Marianne’s clean and honest look at everyday life makes her a must see at comedy clubs and events. As a retired school teacher, her quick sense of humor kept her alive and sane for the many years she “performed” in front of a classroom filled with unruly students. Now doing comedy full time, Marianne talks about a wide range of topics audiences of all ages can relate to.
