Welcome to the LASS & QTIBPOC Cinema Club Xmas Social!
We will be meeting at City of Sanctuary Sheffield on December 19, 2025 5:00-8:00PM, in a shared evening of joy organised by the QTIBPOC Cinema Club & LASS crew. As the year draws to a close, it is as important as ever to come together as a community to connect and replenish our bodies and spririts. We will be sharing a meal, and taking part in a series of games and activities.
Food will be provided, but we welcome any pot-luck additions if you wish to share your food with us.
Tickets are donation based, all proceeds will go to LASS.
About us: QTIBPOC Cinema Club is a community group for racialised LGBTQ+ people, we meet monthly at Gut Level where we gather around food and films that center decolonial queer stories. We also organise other events such as QTIBPOC Eid and Lunar New year, workshops and create a space for international solidarity across struggles in the global south.
About LASS: LASS was founded in 2017 and is a volunteer-run organisation that aims to support and empower LGBTQ+ and non-binary identifying asylum seekers and refugees. You can find out more about their work at: https://lassheffield.org.uk/
Who can attend: LASS members and people who identify as racialised/POC and are somewhere on the LGBTQ+ spectrum.
