About this Event
Unleash your creativity with our laser etched light workshop, where you'll learn to craft your own custom light-up sign using simple electronics and laser-etched acrylic.
Explore the State Library collection and be inspired by the neon signs from film sets, Gold Coast motels, through to the iconic Stefan’s rainbow.
You will learn the basics of vector etching for laser cutting, working with LED lights and 3D printing, to create illuminated designs that glow! At the end of the session you will get to assemble and take home your own personalised USB powered sign.
Perfect to light up your home for the holiday season and just in time for our NEON exhibition in slq Gallery, level 2.
