About this Event
Welcome to the Maidstone Hackspace Laser Engraving Stamp Workshop!
This introductory course is designed for all ages and skill levels, from beginners to experienced crafters. Whether you're seeking a creative outlet to manage stress, build confidence, or simply explore the therapeutic benefits of Creative Practice as Mutual Recovery (CPMR), this workshop provides the perfect opportunity. You’ll design a unique 2" x 2" rubber stamp, with guidance from our team, using traditional methods, graphic tools, or even artificial intelligence.
What Can You Create?
Business Branding: Custom stamps for logos, taglines, or packaging.
Artistic Flair: Intricate designs for art projects and crafts.
Personal Use: Make monograms, return addresses, or signature stamps.
Kids’ Fun: Playful stamps featuring animals, cartoons, or superheroes.
Event Stamps: Personalised stamps for weddings, birthdays, and more.
No prior experience is necessary! We provide all materials, including rubber for engraving, foam mounting tape, handles, and ink pads. Bring your design or create one with us—our team will help refine and prepare it for laser engraving. While not required, it would be beneficial if attendees could bring their own laptops to maximise their experience when working on graphic design.
This fun, engaging workshop is also an oppotunity to experience some of our other courses, including:

Important Advisory: The workshop is held on the third floor of the Maidstone Community Support Centre, which regretfully lacks lift access. Therefore, we advise against applying if you are unable or find it difficult to climb stairs. We are working to improve this situation for the future.
Feedback: At the end of the course, attendees will be asked to complete a short survey to help Maidstone Hackspace gather feedback on the participants' experience.
Join us at Maidstone Hackspace to create, inspire, and take home a unique stamp!
