Sick male calves with feces-encrusted fur cry out for their mothers, alone in cramped veal crates. Their necks are often tied to their enclosures, barely allowing them to move, until they’re slaughtered at just 16 weeks old. Dairy-free options mean less suffering for cows and their calves, and even Starbucks admits that they’re better for the planet. Yet Starbucks continues milking customers, charging up to 90 cents extra for lattes with oat, soy, coconut, or almond milk rather than dairy milk.On April 15th, please join local PETA supporters to remind Starbucks' incoming CEO, Laxman Narasimhan, that if Starbucks truly wants to "invest in people and the planet" it will stop charging extra for planet- and animal-friendly vegan milks!
