Curso de Prácticas vocales
con Ewa Benesz
Curso intensivo en régimen de internado ¨LAS PRACTICAS VOCALES¨, originarias de las antiguas tradiciones de Oriente y Occidente, de la investigación antropológica sobre el canto chamánico y de la experiencia del Teatro Laboratorio de J. Grotowski en Wroclaw.
La Granja Escuela Teatro Lo Boligni acoge este taller, en el marco de nuestro proyecto Arte en la Naturaleza, y dirigido a profesionales, estudiantes e interesados en las investigaciones que J. Grotowski y los actores del Teatro Laboratorio de Wroclaw desarrollaron desde mediados de los años setenta.
Ewa Benesz, continuadora del legado de J. Grotowski vuelve a visitarnos.
LAS PRÁCTICAS VOCALES
Primero aprendemos a memorizar una melodía. Tal vez también las notas, un solfeo. Luego experimentamos la extensión de la voz, de abajo hacia arriba. Ejercitas la sonoridad buscando los resonadores, los espacios en el cuerpo donde vibra la voz. Descubres que no es la garganta la que canta. Pruebas también individualmente en el espacio los armónicos alrededor tuyo. Bien, esto significa que te estás volviendo instrumento de una expiración sonora. Sientes que la voz surge del silencio y en el silencio desaparece. Entonces descansas en el canto.
¿Qué cosa es un canto? ¿Por qué el hombre, y no solo el hombre, canta? Una madre canta a su hijo, canta la gente de la comunidad, con un canto se celebran las festividades, los enamorados cantan sin darse cuenta. En los tiempos pasados se trabajaba cantando. Y el canto nació precisamente del trabajo.
Su origen nos viene de la necesidad de vencer el mal, dicen las Upanishad. De hecho nadie canta con los puños apretados. Porque un canto libera las tensiones, transforma, lleva a la catarsis. Purifica y unifica al "Yo" dividido de esto y aquello. Lleva fuera del mundo material del objeto. Transforma la percepción. Despierta algo que la mente a olvidado. Une al presente.
La naturaleza revela sus secretos raramente. En el verano del '99 en Cerdeña, quedé sentada sobre el piso de la sala, después de que la gente hubiera salido para la pausa. Me mantuve inmóvil, con la espalda derecha, relajada, sin cambiar de posición. Cuando la puerta se abrió y la gente volvió a la sala, inicié un canto. Junto a la voz sentí una onda, líquida y cálida, que se alzaba a lo largo de la columna vertebral. ¿Era el sonido? Es posible. Posible es que el canto haya elevado al hombre. Y que eleve a cada uno de nosotros y a la humanidad.
(Es necesario traer vestimenta cómoda para el movimento, un cinturón para el stretching, foulard para cubrir la cabeza y espalda, las mujeres una falda larga y amplia).
Ewa Benesz
Actriz polaca, estudió Literatura en la Universidad de Lublin y Arte Dramático en Varsovia. Ha trabajado en el Instytut Aktora-Teatr, Laboratorio dirigido por Jerzy Grotowski en Wroclaw, Polonia. En el '70 funda junto a tres colegas la Escuela de Arte Dramático de Varsovia el Studio Teatral. En el 75 y 76 enseña, en la Universita de Lublin, Teoría de la Cultura e Historia del Teatro Contemporáneo. Desde el 82 hasta el 96 ha colaborado junto a Rena Mirecka en los proyectos parateatrales "Be here now...Towards", "The Way to the center" y "Now it is the Flight" realizados en países de Europa, América y en Israel. Desde el 97 dirige experiencias parateatrales: "ESSERE","VERSO L'ORIGINE","LE PRATICHE ORIGINARIE DEL'ATTORE","LE PRATICHE VOCALI", "NELL'ATTO DEL CREARE".
Colabora con la Universidad de Estudio Suor Orsola Benincasa de Nápoles, de Catania, de Ca'Foscari de Venecia y de Maria Slodowska de Lublin, Polonia. Participa al proyecto Meetings with Remarkable Women. You Are Someone's Daughter de British Columbia University di Okanagan en Canada e Instituto de Grotowski en Wroclaw, Polonia, coordinado por Virginie Magnat "Grotowski, Women and Contemporary Performance" NY – Londra , Routledge 2013. El precio del curso de 300 euros incluye estancia y alimentación. Comenzará el 16 de abril a las seis de la tarde y terminará el 20 de Abril, después de las 16 h.

Ewa Benesz is providing in Alicante, from April 16 to 25 April, her well known boarding workshop THE VOCAL PRACTICES inspired in the Far East and Occidental ancient traditions, the anthropological research on the shamanic singing and the out comes from the Theatre laboratory of J. Grotowski in Wroclaw.
The Granja Escuela Teatro Lo Boligni takes in this workshop, within the framework of our Project “Art in the Nature” and meant to professionals, students and people interested in the research that J. Grotowski and the actors of the Laboratory Theatre of Warsaw developed from the mid sixties.
Ewa Benesz is visiting us again continuing with her legacy from J. Grotowski.
THE VOCAL PRACTICING
At first we’ll learn how to memorise a song. Maybe also the notation, the musical score. Then we’ll experience the voice extension, from the bottom to above. We’ll exercise the sounds looking for resonators, the gaps in the body where the voice vibrates. Then you realise that is not the throat that produces the sounds. We try also individually the harmonics in the air around. This means that you are evolving yourself from a sound breath to a musical instrument. You feel like your voice comes from the silent and disappears in the silent. Then you rest when you sing.
What is singing? Why human being, and not only, sings? A mother sings for her child, the community sings to celebrate events, the lovers sings without even realise they do so. In the old days they used to sing when working. And the singing was originated from the work.
According to Upanishad it was originated by the need for overcoming the evil. Actually, no one sings with one’s clenched fist. Because a song frees tensions, transforms, leads to catharsis. Purifies and unifies the “I” divided by this and that. Transports from the material world and objects. Transforms the perception. Unveils things that the brain has forgotten. Links to the present.
Nature barely unveils its secrets. In the summer 99’ I was sitting on the room’s floor when attendees went out for a rest. I remained motionless, with my back straight, relax, without making any changes to my position. When the door opened up and people came back into the room I started a song. With my voice I felt a wave, liquid and warm that raised up along my backbone. Was it the sound? Maybe. Perhaps the singing raises the human being. Perhaps it raises every one of us and the human being.
EWA BENESZ
Polish actress, she graduated on literature in Lublin University and Dramatic Art in Wasaw. She worked in Instytut Aktora-Teatr Laboratory directed by Jerzy Grotowski in Wroclaw, Poland. With three colleagues she funded the Dramatic Art School in 1970. In 75 and 76 she teaches in Lublin University the Theory of the Culture and Contemporary Theatre History. From 1982 to 1996 she collaborated, along with Rena Mirecka in theatre-related projects "Be here now...Towards", "The Way to the centre" y "Now it is the Flight" made in countries in Europe, América and Israel. From 1997 she manages theatre-related experiences. "ESSERE","VERSO L'ORIGINE","LE PRATICHE ORIGINARIE DEL'ATTORE","LE PRATICHE VOCALI", "NELL'ATTO DEL CREARE".
She collaborates with the University of study Benincasa of Nápoli, in Catania, in Ca'Foscari from Venecia and with Maria Slodowska from Lublino, Polonia. She participates in the projects: Meetings with Remarkable Women, You Are Someone's Daughter in the British Columbia University the Okanagan in Canada and the Grotowski Institute in Warsaw, Poland, coordinated by Virginie Magnat "Grotowski, Women and Contemporary Performance" NY – Londra , Routledge 2013. She currently develops a practical research inspired in the ancient sanskrit texts of Veda.

WHEN: Starts the 16 April at six (18hrs, 6 PM) and ends on the 20 April after 16 hrs.
PRICE: The Price of the workshop is 300 euros, that includes the living and the food.

(You need to wear easy clothes for the movements and a belt for the stretching, a foulard to cover head and back, women a long and large skirt).

Ewa Benesz offrira l’atelier LES PRATIQUES VOCALES à Alicante, entre le 16 Avril et le 20 Avril, en mode résidentiel et intensif. Cet enseignement a son origine dans de très anciennes traditions d’Orient et Occident, de la recherche anthropologique sur le chant chamanique et de l’expérience issue du Théâtre Laboratoire de J. Grotowski à Wroclaw.
La Granja Escuela Teatro Lo Boligni accueille cet atelier, dans le cadre de notre projet Art dans la Nature, est dirigé à des professionnels, étudiants et autres personnes intéressées aux recherches de J. Grotowski et les acteurs du Théâtre Laboratoire de J. Grotowski à Vroclaw développérent depuis les années soixante-dix.
Ewa Benesz, continuatrice de l’héritage de J. Grotowski, revient nous rendre visite.
LES PRATIQUES VOCALES
D’abord Nous apprendrons à mémoriser une mélodie. Peut-être aussi les notes, un solfège. Puis Nous ferons l’expérience de l’extension de la voix, du bas vers le haut. On exercera la sonorité en cherchant les résonateurs, les cavités dans le corps où la voix vibre. L’on découvrira que ce n’est pas la gorge qui chante. L’on essayera aussi individuellement et dans l’espace les harmoniques autour de soi. Cela signifie que vous vous transformez en un instrument lors d’une expiration sonore. Vous sentez que la voix nait du silence est disparaît dans le silence. Alors vous vous relâchez dans le chant.
Qu’est un chant? Pourquoi l’être humain, et pas seulement, chante? Une mère chante à son enfant, les gens chantent dans une communauté, on fête et célèbre avec des chants, les amoureux chantent sans s’en rendre compte. Dans l’ancien temps l’on chantait en travaillant. Et le chat est justement né du travail.
Son origine nous vient de la nécessité de vaincre le mal, dissent les Upanishad. En fait, personne ne chante avec les poings serrés. Un chant libère les tensions, transforme, amène à la catharsis. Le chant purifie et unit au “Moi” divisé entre ceci et cela. Il emporte hors du monde matériel, des objets. Le chant transforme la perception, éveille quelque chose que l’esprit a oublié, ramène au présent.
La nature révèle ses secrets rarement. Pendant l’été de l’année 1999en Sardaigne, je restais assise sur le sol de la sale, après que les étudiants étaient sortis pur faire une pause. Je restais immobile, avec le dos droit, détendue, sans changer de position. Quand la porte s’ouvrit et les gens entrèrent de retour, je commençais un chant. Avec ma voix je sentis une vague, liquide et chaude, qui remontait le long de ma colonne vertébrale. C’était le son? C’est possible. Il est possible que le chant aie fait grandir l’être humain et qu’il fasse grandir chacun de nous et l’humanité.
EWA BENESZ
Est une actrice polonaise, elle étudia la littérature à l’Université de Lublin et l’art dramatique à Varsovie. Elle a travaillé à l’Institut Aktora-Teatr, laboratoire dirigé par Jerzy Grotowski à Wroclaw, Pologne. En 1970 elle fonda, avec trois collègues de l’École d’Art Dramatique de Varsovien le Studio Théâtral. En 1975 et 1976 elle enseigna à l’Université de Lublin la Théorie de la Culture et l’Histoire du Théâtre Contemporain. Entre 1982 et 1996 elle collabora, avec Rena Mirecka dans les projets para théâtrales “Be here now…Towards”. “The way to the center” et “Now it is the flight” réalisés dans plusieurs pays d’Europe, Amérique et en Israel. Depuis 1997 elle dirige les essais para théâtraux: “ESSERE”, “VERSO L’ORIGINE”, LE PRATICHE ORIGINARIE DEL’ATTORE”, “LE PRATICHE VOCALI” et “NELL’ATTO DEL CREARE”.
Elle collabore avec l’université du Estudio Suor Orsola Benincasa de Naples, de Catania, de Ca’Foscari, de Venise et de Maria Slodowska de Lublin, en Pologne.
