(Visit tinyurl.com/blakeplan to purchase tickets.)Discover the Arctic and the Night Sky in Lars the Little Polar Bear and Seasonal Stargazing.
Join us at the Blake Planetarium for a cozy, family-friendly adventure featuring a beloved story brought to life on the dome and a quick tour of the stars overhead. Our feature presentation, Lars the Little Polar Bear, invites audiences to explore the changing Arctic landscape through the eyes of a curious young polar bear. Follow Lars on the first day of spring as he wanders through his icy home, makes new friends, and even helps save a pair of endangered whales. Based on the children’s book Little Polar Bear and the Whales by Hans de Beer, this warm-hearted show blends storytelling with gentle introductions to nature, climate change, and a touch of astronomy, perfect for young learners and the young at heart.
We’ll also include Seasonal Stargazing, a short and lively look at “what’s up tonight.” Hop between constellations, learn memorable star names, and enjoy a fun, fulldome glimpse of the current night sky.
