Join us as we celebrate the life well lived, and memory of Larry D. White.
Larry White was a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of so many in our Equine Community. Larry spent his life breeding and training horses; but more than that, Larry's passion was sharing horses with our youth. Larry and Jean single handedly made riding and showing horses possible for hundreds of children in our community, many of whom would not have had the opportunity otherwise. Larry took children to local shows, to breed shows, and to the 4-H State Show for more than 20 years. The countless stories that have been shared recently about Larry and the love he shared have been nothing short of heartwarming. In honor and memory of Larry, we would like to carry on his legacy of making showing accessible. The proceeds from this class will go towards sponsoring a Tidewater Equine Club youth's entry fees at Tidewater for the season. Hopefully entries will be high enough that we can also sponsor that youth's registration fees for the 2025 VA State 4-H Horse and Pony Show as well.
We will be giving out some great prizes to the winners of this class. Winners will be awarded 1st-6th place, and we have got some great prizes rolling in. We have gift certificates to local tack shops, a gift certificate for a custom show shirt by Kelly Wayman Originals valued at $1,000.00. Caroline Vesely has generously donated two beautiful show pads, Molly's Custom Silver is donating a belt buckle, Timber Ridge is donating a load of shavings, Bluff Point Leather Works is donating a gift certificate for a custom tooled belt, and Miguel Aguilar has donated a work head stall and reins, and a set of exotic spur straps!
