Come join in the fun of Mock Battle at the Hartland Ranch LARP site! LARP stands for Live Action Role Playing.
Though not always, it often involves boffer/safe weapons for mock combat and a set of rules that will be explained for skills and health points. There is no costume required but totally welcome.
We will be playing 2 games:
Circle Battle
Capture the Treasure
CIRCLE BATTLE
Players line up in a circle around the battle arena. Weapons are arranged in a circle in the middle of the arena. When signalled, all players will advance into the middle of the arena, grab their weapon of choice and battle the other players. Last one standing is the victor.
CAPTURE THE TREASURE
Like capture the flag, only with battle skills, weapons and treasure boxes instead of flags.
Ages: 4 & Up (Free Play with Weapons for 3 & under, or play the games accompanied by an adult.) Parents encouraged to participate!
Maximum Attendees: 30 Players
Cost: Pay What You Can Contributions to Hartland Ranch, Cash or EMT accepted.
Location: Oro-Medonte, close to the Simcoe Regional Airport, directions and address provided to registered attendees
Duration: 1-3pm

Conditions: Weather Permitting
Please come equipped with whatever you feel will make your visit comfortable for you. (Sun Block, Appropriate Attire for Weather/A Farm, Insect Protection, Camp Chair, Drinks, Snacks etc.)
Visits to Hartland Ranch are by booked appointment only as the Harts cannot currently facilitate their property being open to the public.
