Join Mary Case, a local artist, instructor, and gallery owner, for an exciting workshop where you'll learn how to create a beautiful clay Christmas tree! This hands-on workshop will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 12th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.During the workshop, Mary will guide you through the process of creating a clay Christmas tree from scratch. You'll learn various pottery techniques and how to shape and mold the clay into a unique tree design. Mary will share her expertise and provide step-by-step instructions to help you bring your ideas to life. Students will choose a single glaze color for Mary to dip their tree after the bisque firing.
No prior experience is necessary to participate in this workshop. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience with pottery, this workshop is open to all skill levels. About Mary Case: Mary is a talented artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sienna Heights University, specializing in drawing, painting, ceramics, and creative writing. She has honed her pottery skills under the guidance of professional potters Charlie Blosser and Jan Sadowski in Royal Oak, Michigan, and has worked at Salmon Falls Production Pottery in Andover, New Hampshire.
In addition to her artwork, Mary owns a gallery where she sells her paintings and pottery. You can also explore her artwork on her website at artbymarycase.com. Her teaching studio is conveniently located on Dowland Street, just two blocks east of the car ferry. With five years of experience living in Ludington, Mary is passionate about teaching and offers a variety of multimedia classes at her studio and at LACA, with a focus on pottery and acrylic painting.
