✨ One step at a time. One lap at a time. One family at a time. 💛 We’re excited to welcome you to Laps for Love, a Backyard Ultra Marathon benefiting Family Promise of Greater Wichita! This event is more than just a race—it reflects the journey many families walk every day: endurance, grit, and the determination to keep moving forward with the support of their community. Together, we’ll push limits, cheer each other on, and make a real difference for families with children in our community.
👟 Who: Hosted by Family Promise of Greater Wichita—open to all who want to participate! 🏃 What: A Backyard Ultra Marathon—a unique "last runner standing" format where participants complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour until only one remains. 📅 When: The first lap begins Saturday, October 25th at 8:00 AM (setup and check-in beforehand). The race has no set end time! 📍 Where: Horseshoe Shelter at Sedgwick County Park, Wichita, KS (maps for vendors, check-in, and crew stations will be shared soon). 💡 Why: To raise funds and awareness for Family Promise of Greater Wichita while giving runners the chance to test their endurance in a supportive, community-driven event.
