It was 50 years ago that our people left Laos, our country of origin, seeking refuge in a foreign country. We’ve all heard stories from our parents and grandparents about our journey and the struggles. But through courage, strength, and resilience, we have come a long way. Today, we have countless Lao American doctors, lawyers, journalists, teachers, athletes, and business owners - to name a few. Our accomplishment is no small feat and calls for a reunification and a celebration.
