After three decades of hosting lantern workshops in various community centres, we are delighted to present workshops at our own Secret Headquarters! Join us and learn how to make your own Secret Lantern from a variety of natural materials.Celebrate the riotous beauty of summer at our Nature Lantern workshop where we’ll create beautiful lanterns from pressed flower petals and twigs harvested from summer’s absurd abundance. We have lots to share but if you want to make your lantern extra special with materials from your own garden just place some flowers between paper towels inside a hardcover book, and place more books on top for about a week to create pressed flowers - so satisfying!
These small lanterns can easily be made within a few hours. No experience necessary, though curiosity, humour, and patience with yourself are essential.
The workshop will be led by Secret Lantern Society’s own Artistic Director Naomi Singer, who loves to hold the natural world in her hands and heart.
