This time of year in autumn, the Winter Solstice draws near and the nights are longer. The sun’s light and warmth wane. At Under the Canopy School, we celebrate the light each person has within and encourage them to let it shine even when things are at their darkest. Lantern Walk at Under the Canopy is an event honoring that inner-light. Each person should create a colorful homemade lantern* to symbolize the light and warmth of their hearts and homes. We will provide an LED light for each person's lantern.
We will join together to share our lantern lights and sing songs in the community of a lantern walk, followed by some hot apple cider.
