Yes, that is POINT 5k... as in 0.5k!

Join your fellow underachievers for an afternoon of glory, to help raise money for a great community project, the historic Lansdale Freight House.

The return of the Frachthaus Zer0.5k will start at 2:00pm on October 5, 2025.

This is a fun, tongue-in-cheek event that will lampoon the typical 5k.

Some Details:

The cost to enter the Frachthaus Zer0.5k / Oktoberfest is a $25 donation for adults 21+ and $10 for youth and those who don't want to drink alcohol, though more is acceptable (and appreciated).

NOTE: Slackers who wait until the day of will pay $40 to enter. We won't guarantee that we'll have your shirt size available, so... as the saying goes, preregister!)

"Runners" will start by gathering on S. Wood Street in front of Harper & Penny's, beginning at 1:00pm. Participants (21 & older) may receive one complimentary cold beer before the start of the race. Those under 21 years of age or those who prefer may choose a nice cold root beer (or soda) instead - yum.

Complimentary soft pretzels and bottled water will be offered at the midpoint of the race (out front of the Lansdale Library on Vine St.), for those that need a bit of carb-loading and an energy boost, to get them through the second half of this impressive showing of strength and athleticism.

The err . . . “run” will begin at 2:00 pm and head down S. Wood St. to Derstine Ave., then down Derstine Ave. to Vine St. toward Broad St. It ends at the finish line at Vine St. and Broad St., across from the Lansdale Freight House.

Following the race, "athletes" will cross over Broad Street to the Freight House, where they'll join in the Oktoberfest festivities and enjoy their second (TOTALLY WORTH IT) complimentary beer or soda. At this time, you'll bask in the glory of completing this race, brag to your friends, and take selfies to post on social media. You earned every bit of this moment. YOU ARE THE CHAMPION!

Zer0.5k ENTRY includes:

• Two (2) complimentary cold beverages (beer/soda)

Oktoberfest HIGHLIGHTS ($5 entry for those who couldn't make it to the start line, but included for those who rocked the Zer0.5k):

• Fun competitions
• Family fun yard games
• Kids activities
• And whatever else we think of by then!

COSTUME COMPETION: Individual and group costumes are encouraged and the best will be rewarded. Some ideas include: Oktoberfest gear, Halloween costumes, cool sunglasses, crazy hats, short shorts, pajamas, you name it; come dressed for fun!

OVERACHIEVERS: The fastest runners (1st, 2nd, 3rd) will receive special awards!

VIP OPTION: (very limited, but also super badass)

Don’t feel like running? Don’t think you can make the full 1,640 feet? Then, you should be a VIP. For a $100 donation, you don’t even have to run! How awesome is that!?

The official Frachthaus Zer0.5k shuttle is a gas-powered picnic table, complete with an umbrella and a full spread of special VIP only snacks for your journey. You still get your complimentary beverage at the start, entry into Oktoberfest, and all the other goodies!

Why wouldn't you ride on the picnic table? It's the best plan of all!

AND the greatest part? You get a bigger medal than everyone else, because you are more important!
