A fun-filled family workshop with Raquel where families can create a short story through drama, imagery, and fun activities.Unleash your child's creativity by exploring body language and identifying universal language, while building a special bond through the magic of physical theatre and creativity.
While the workshops will be guided in English, we encourage families to embrace their home languages. Raquel speaks many languages including English, Spanish, Italian, French and we look forward to hearing which languages you can speak!
🌟Our Language Explorers workshops are free, but booking is required (strictly limited availability). For children aged 3 - 6.
Every family is welcome to our workshops!
Roscommon Arts Centre is delighted to partner with Mother Tongues to deliver these early years workshops for families. Each session is different but connected to an overall theme. Come to as many workshops as you like!
ABOUT MOTHER TONGUES' LANGUAGE EXPLORERS:
Mother Tongues’ Language Explorer workshops provide a unique creative experience for parents and their children based on storytelling, play, visual arts and music. While the workshops will be guided in English, we encourage families to embrace their home languages. This fosters meaningful connections between parents and children, creating a truly inclusive environment. Meet and connect with other like-minded families and share your language journey!
PLEASE NOTE:
Workshops are free of charge, but booking is required as there is limited capacity. When you reserve a child ticket, the accompanying adult is automatically included. If you can’t make the event, please email us [email protected] so some other family can benefit from attending the workshop.
Please remember that children must be under the supervision of an accompanying adult throughout the workshops.
Activities have been specifically designed for children aged 3 to 6. However, if you have an older child who wishes to participate, they are more than welcome (please book a place for them too).
For children younger than 2.5 years, the activities might be too complex, but they are also welcome to accompany their older siblings. No need to reserve a spot for younger accompanying children.
This workshop series is funded by the Arts Council and Roscommon Arts Centre.
