The 3rd Annual LANGFORD BIKEFEST presented by Advanced Self Storage proudly hosted by the City of Langford is Vancouver Island's premier off-road bicycle event. To be held on March 29-31 and August 23-25 the event is on track to draw 600+ participants and close to 1,000 spectators. The BikeFest invites pump racers on Saturday March 29-30 and Aug 23-24 to the Velosolutions pump track to duke it out in an elimination style race. Sunday March 31 is the Broad St. Cycles XC which kicks off the Island Cup Racing Series. Finally racers experience the thrilling new Langford DH trails at the Live Like Jordie Enduro on Sunday Aug 25. During both weekends there are fun activities for kids. The event will take place near the Jordie Lunn Bike Park Clubhouse which is expected to open later this year. The Clubhouse is a 5000 sq. ft. onsite facility that will house a new bike shop, food cantina, and community meeting space.
The venue is located at the Jordie Lunn Bike Park, which serves as the crown jewel of cycling on Vancouver Island. Nestled in Langford BC, the venue is a cycling stadium that is ideally suited to showcase cycling in all its many facets. The area consists of over 10km of combined single-track/double-track/DH trails, flow trail, Jump Zone, Skill Zone, Paved Pump Track, and a dirt jump Pro Line.
The City of Langford has wonderful amenities, restaurants, hotels, shopping, and easy on-and-off access from Highway 1. The Victoria International Airport is 30 minutes away to the North. Ferry services make this event easily accessible to cycling fans coming from BC Mainland and US Washington State. Positioned as traning area for the Canadian National Team, Langford has risen quickly to truly be declared as a world class cycling destination.
