This three-part workshop will be given as two ZOOM classes in your home, with a Saturday field work session at Leu Gardens.
Understanding the fundamentals of forms within a landscape frame is basic for making good photographs of any subject matter. Portraits, close-ups, travel, commercial product shots, and fine art photography can all benefit from placing forms in a landscape photograph.
Participants should own a DSLR or a Mirrorless camera. Additional equipment will be discussed at our planning session. Upon registration, please email three (3) of your favorite photos (any subject) to [email protected] for review at the first session. Please include your cell phone number in this email.
Wednesday,Wednesday, July 17, 2024, 7:00–9:00 PM (ZOOM), 2024, 7:00–9:00 PM, Zoom planning session
In addition to the normal rules of composition, we will discuss the relationship of forms within a frame and how to control them in camera. We will learn to create a scene that will invite the viewer into it and stay within it.

We will meet inside the entrance of the Leu Gardens’ main building armed with cameras and tripods, then continue to locations within the gardens where we will demonstrate techniques outlined in class.
