Landscape Painting Workshop with Brenda Pinnick

Tuesday, November 4 & Wednesday, November 5 | 9am-4pm with a lunch break each day
In this two-day workshop, students will study landscape painting and the necessary steps to achieve desired outcomes. Artist Brenda Pinnick will lead students through the process of segmenting painting sessions, creating a plan, and evaluating work created to avoid potential pitfalls often encountered in painting the landscape.
Students will use techniques to create a sense of time of day, the color of the light, the unique qualities of atmosphere and ways to engage the viewer. Students will also learn about the different and effective ways to create depth in images, with a focus on effective brush work and edges. Students will complete one painting each day, as well as enjoying instructor demos and a critique session during the workshop.
