, join exhibiting artist and local painter Paula Jenkins for an all-day landscape painting workshop in the Esther Halliday Studio. Designed for beginner or intermediate levels with a focus on colour theory, creating an optimal composition and paint application, attendees will work with acrylic paint to recreate one to two landscapes which are sentimental to them. Similar to Paula Jenkin's practice in the exhibition Nirvana: A Pilgrimage, where artworks are inspired by the artists' recent visit to New Zealand's South Island. Through this workshop, participants will learn how to translate their connection to place through colour and marks, using paint as a bridge between self and landscape. The aim is for participants to complete one to two paintings which will be ready to take home at the conclusion of the workshop.
