Landscape architects, designers & friends: Join us outdoors on a wildlife walk in Portland, Maine
About this Event

In person. Outdoors.

BSLA Maine invites you to join us on a wildlife walk with naturalist William Broussard in Capisic Pond Park. We will learn about the wildlife that call Portland Maine’s largest freshwater pond home, and we will discuss how to design landscapes to attract and maintain a diversity of wildlife.

Please dress for the weather, including appropriate footware, hat, and sunscreen as you like. Don't forget a notebook and water bottle.

Members + non-members, families and friends, all are welcome.

.

Will Broussard is a science and writing specialist with North Spore. A Maine native who returned after a decade away, he has also worked as outreach coordinator at the Mount Washington Observatory, naturalist at the Ecology School, and researcher at the University of Maine. He holds an MS in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England with undergraduate work in botany and biology from the College of the Atlantic and the University of Maine. When not writing about mushrooms he explores the coast of Maine looking for colorful birds and strange cloud formations.
