The West Allis Police Department will be sponsoring a free Landlord Training Program on April 8, 15 and 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the West Allis Municipal Courtroom at 11301 W. Lincoln Ave. No registration required. Attend one, two or all of the sessions.Through this training, you will learn ways to screen potential tenants, how to protect your investment, how to draft contracts, when and how to evict trouble tenants and more! The goal of the program is to better educate all landlords to prevent landlord-tenant problems, address tenant and neighborhood issues, inform about City codes and explain police response.
April 8: tenant litigation, evictions, collections and lease agreements, lead abatement, refuse, recycling, rodents and insect control.
April 15: nuisance property, applicant screening and rental documents
April 22: building inspections, codes, and contact persons; Section 8 Rental Assistance Program
