This course is designed to cover plant and turf pests, pathogens, weeds and advanced concepts in recognizing symptoms and developing solutions to lawn and turf problems using an IPM approach. This course includes the concepts of avoiding pesticide drift, understanding product rotation for resistance management, product modes of action and the principles behind using adjuvants, surfactants and tank-mixing. We also emphasize regulatory compliance and cover the duties of a certified operator as well as the requirements of FS482 and 5E-14.

Program Comments: This course includes a lecture and hands-on portion. It is 2.5 days long and is team taught by FDACS, industry experts, and UF/IFAS.
