The Department of Premier and Cabinet (the department) is organising Land Use Activity Agreement (LUAA) Executive Roundtables for State and Local Government Executives as part of our commitment to improving LUAA understanding and compliance.
The Roundtables are targeted at State and Local Government Executives who engage with the LUAA as part of their work. The Roundtables will provide an opportunity for these executives to discuss any challenges their organisations have experienced when operationalising the LUAA in practice, and any improvements or support that could be beneficial moving forward. The department will meet the cost of the event, which can include up to three executives from each entity.
The Roundtables will be held in-person, on Dja Dja Wurrung Country. There will not be an option to dial into the Roundtables. There will be a total of four Roundtables:
- Two roundtables for Local Government Authorities (LGAs) executives
- Two roundtables for State Agency executives.
The Roundtables will be facilitated by Shawn Whelan, an independent consultant with good understanding of the LUAA. Executive staff from the department will also be in attendance. Ahead of the Roundtables, we will issue a paper with topics to facilitate discussion on LUAA operations, compliance and improvements.
