This powerful program pays tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of America’s armed forces through stirring symphonic works. From the proud strains of Sousa’s Semper Fidelis and U.S. Field Artillery to Zimmerman’s beloved Anchors Aweigh, the concert salutes the 250th anniversaries of the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. Audiences will be transported by music from Band of Brothers, Midway, and Victory at Sea, and moved by the timeless beauty of the Marines’ Hymn and the Navy Hymn, Eternal Father, Strong to Save. The drama of The Marines of Belleau Wood and the thrilling energy of Jager’s Esprit de Corps will round out an unforgettable evening of pride, gratitude, and musical excellence.
