In this illustrated talk based on her nature memoir Land Beneath the Waves, Nic will take you on a journey through Hitchin’s wild places, snickers, fields and natural history, considering some of the changes our chalk landscape has seen over the centuries.With the natural world facing more threats than ever before, she’ll explore ways we can develop more meaningful bonds with our local natural spaces and landscapes, leading to a better future for human and non-human life.
