Meet at the The Longlands hotel Tewitfield Marina , Carnforth LA6 1JH at 9:00am
Parking is along the road edge marked in purple, unless you stopping for a brew and something to eat on you return and you can use the hotel car park
Launching onto Lancaster Canal by the marina , paddling to Canal Turn Carnforth. (parking to be confirmed. There is on street parking opposite, Tesco and Canal Turn itself). I I’m just checking formally to see if any will accommodate the groups vehicles for the shuttle back to the Longlands hotel (6 min journey)
This Paddle is suitable for paddlers who have had lessons and/or are competent with self-rescue and paddling for the duration and conditions of the route.
This is not an organised event led by a Guide or an Instructor.
Paddlers should have their own personal insurance and a valid waterways license.
It is strongly advised that each paddler uses a
PFD, quick-release safety waist leash, sealed mobile phone, emergency contact details available to your peers, spare clothing, food and drink, first-aid kit.
The ‘event’ describes an activity where the ‘promoter’ has indicated a date, route, and time that they may be paddling on and have invited friends/peers to join them.
Social Paddles are free of charge.
You are responsible for your own safety and you paddle at your own risk.
