Meet your Early Childhood Coach - Anisha Angella!
Anisha Angella is an Early Childhood Education (ECE) coach and expert who has been in the industry for over 16+ years. With a degree in Early Childhood Education Studies, Anisha has held many roles over the years. She has led childcare programs, taught college programs, and worked as a senior manager overseeing 45+ childcare locations. She is also the CEO and Founder of her business, "The Early Childhood Coach + Co" — a powerhouse for all things childcare consulting, coaching, and training. Her success has allowed her to gain exposure through Breakfast Television, Authority Magazine and The Today Show. Anisha wants to see other members of the ECE community succeed and loves to share her wealth of knowledge through speaking at a variety of events. Anisha’s speaking engagements focus on diversity in ECE, leadership, mental health and burnout in ECE, and effective communication with parents and staff. She has spoken at over 250+ events worldwide and is always looking forward to her next engagement.
Faith Hale is the Executive Director of Ska:na Family Learning Centre (SFLC), the first Indigenous organization for Child Care and Early Years programming, operating multiple Urban sites in Ontario. A founding Director of SFLC, she was instrumental in the development and implementation of Indigenous culturally based early years curriculum in Ontario. Ska:na continues to expand in programming and services, in addition to mentoring Indigenous Early Years Curriculum through Faith’s commitment to many Boards, committees, and networks.
Drawing upon her extensive career, Faith continues to share her knowledge and experience as the President of 7 Generations Indigenous Culture Friendship Centre (7GICFC), as the past Second Vice-President of the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres (OFIFC) and as a delegate appointee by the OFIFC to the Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services Board, and others too numerous to mention.
A graduate from Wayne State University M.Ed., BA. Soc., Brock University, B.Ed., St. Clair College RECE, Faith also consulted with the College of Early Childhood Educators advisory committee, presented at numerous conferences and training sessions and continues to spearhead research projects at the local and provincial level in many areas of education and community development.
Naomi Wilson, Programs Director for Ska:na Family Learning Centre working out of Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton.
Naomi is from Deshkan Ziibiing (Chippewas of the Thames First Nation) in SW Ontario. She also identifies with Onyota'á:ka (Oneida of the Thames First Nation) as her mother is from that First Nation and is Bear Clan. Naomi’s background is in Business Administration with training in Human Resources and Graphic & Commercial Arts. She has gained a lot of experience working as a Community Developer and Executive Director for Friendship Centres for 15+ years, and as a Youth Grant Manager and Workforce Coordinator for the US Dept of Labour in California for 10 years. Naomi is creative and passionate about sharing her knowledge and experiences to help in the development of programs, services and activities that are on the path of reconciliation.
