About this Event
Join me as we explore Lambeth: a fascinating area of London, just over the river from the Houses of Parliament, bursting with hidden history and stories.
We will tread in the footsteps of the incredible mix of people who have lived in the area over the centuries from poor street urchins and pedlars to Tudor princes, the visionary William Blake and the brilliant Charlie Chaplin.
There will also be plenty of architectural treasures along the way, including the red-brick 16th century gatehouse of Lambeth Palace and the gloriously elaborate Doulton factory building.
The walk lasts roughly an hour and 45 minutes, starts by Lambeth North station and ends outside the Imperial War Museum.
Here's two recent Tripadvisor reviews for my Lambeth tour:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must Do. I went on the Lambeth walking tour, which was just an incredible experience. Jack was such a knowledgeable, personable and thoughtful guide. And we saw some really interesting parts of London that I would never have found out about otherwise. Cannot recommended more highly.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brilliant Hidden Lambeth Tour We had great tour with Jack on the Lambeth : Hidden Treasures and Trailblazers. We went to all sorts of off the beaten track locations to an area we know little about. The stories were fascinating and we especially enjoyed learning more about William Blake and the Lambeth Walk. Jack is very engaging, friendly and knowledgeable and we look forward to doing lots more walks with him!
