Welcome to a new round of courses in the Brazilian dance Lambada! Curious about Lambada?Join our OPEN HOUSE and try out some basic movements during the workshop, no previous experience is required and we rotate during the class. Bring your friends for a festive experience the 24/8!
For OPEN House a pre-registration is needed in order to ensure the number of students, send us a PM.
Fee: 100 kr
The workshop on the 24/8 is also the first class in the 6-week course so if you are interested to continue the fee is deducted from the course fee.

Lambada is a dance style within Brazilian Zouk, a partner dance that is gaining popularity around the world. Lambada can be enjoyed to both slow and fast-paced music. It is known for its smooth, circular movements, fluidity, dynamic head movements (at the advanced level), and an infectious sense of alegria—joy! We warmly welcome you to step into the vibrant world of Brazilian rhythm, full of dance, laughter, fun, and inspiration.

BEGINNERS COURSE
Our beginners course is a comprehensive introduction to Lambada, focusing on the essential building blocks of the dance. You will learn the basic steps, turns, and movements, along with key techniques for posture, rhythm, and partner connection. Head movements are not included at this level; instead, we concentrate on mastering the fundamentals. This solid foundation will support your future progress and help you transition into other related dance styles like Traditional Zouk, West Coast Swing, and Bachata. We teach an all-around style with emphasis on basics, body frame, and musical timing.

INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED COURSE
In this course, we dive into more complex elements of Lambada, including movements such as bamboleo, cambrés, and boneca. You'll refine your technique, explore creative variations, and deepen your understanding of the flow and essence of the dance. We also introduce you to the different stylistic interpretations within Lambada.
To join this course, at least one year of consistent Lambada practice or training is required. You should already be familiar with key moves such as the basic step, viradinha, soltinho, boomerang, invertido, and piao. The course is tailored to the participants’ needs, focusing on the specific techniques that will support the group’s development.

ABOUT BRAZOUKA STOCKHOLM
Brazouka Stockholm is the oldest dance school in Stockholm dedicated exclusively to Brazilian partner dance Lambada Zouk. We prioritize quality teaching and aim to provide every student with a strong foundation in technique, musicality, and connection. Since launching regular classes in 2008, Brazouka Stockholm has organized numerous Zouk events and invited renowned international instructors to teach in Sweden.
We’re also the founders of the popular summer Zouk evenings in Vasaparken and proud to be the first Swedish school featured in Brazilian dance congresses—including London Zoukfest (2018, 2019) and Brazilian Dance Holidays in Spain (2019).
In 2023, Brazouka made history by hosting Sweden’s first-ever Lambada Festival, complete with international instructors, workshops, and social dance parties.
